Parir
Tomando un café (¿qué pasa que últimamente los posts empiezan con gerundio?) fuentes de toda solvencia intentan convencerme de que el presente de indicativo del verbo parir es yo pargo. Y yo maragota -, dijo ella ajustándose el taparrabos y escondiéndose detrás de una roca. Deben estar al tanto de mis problemas con la tercera conjugación, porque insisten hasta que me ven sacar el papelito y anotar minucioso, o minuciosamente, lo que en el fondo es una minucia: yo pargo: buscar.
Encuentro una consulta a la Academia Mexicana de la Lengua, que no es real pero lo parece, porque también limpia, fija y da esplendor. A la lengua se ve, que es lo que les gusta a algunas.
Contesta José Ignacio Dávila Garibi, secretario perpetuo (o en su defecto hasta que se muera) de la RAM: Al conjugarse el tiempo presente, en sus tres primeras personas, de los verbos agriar, paliar y parir debe desatarse siempre el diptongo. Por tanto es: yo me agrio, tu te agrias, él se agria; yo palio, tu palias, él palia; yo paro, tu pares, ella (no él) pare, y de ninguna manera yo me agrío, yo palío, etc.
Así pues, yo paro, nada de yo pargo. Y si los fetos hablasen dirían pare que me bajo, así, con educación y respeto, aunque sea hablando con la mama. Porque para este secretario perpetuo sólo paren las madres. Se equivoca; nosotros también parimos.
Aunque a veces sólo sea una idea.

Tus fuentes de toda solvencia posiblemente te estaban tomando el pelo. El pargo (o pagro) es un pez de la familia de los besugos. A ver si creían que eras uno.
Y, por supuesto, tienes razón: es "yo paro", (pero mejor con epidural).

Cierto. Doc. "Et parum belli" decía Cicerón. O sea que "Y parieron la victoria" Refiriéndose a lograr algo con gran esfuerzo y dolor. Ustedes también paren. Y algunos... con esfuerzo, sudor y lágrimas (pero de esta foto hablaré otro día, que es sobrecogedora.)
